Two great topics! 1) Ian M. is presenting on Xdebug -- a great (and free) local and/or remote debugger - great stand-alone or inside an IDE (ex. NetBeans, Eclipse, VIM, Notepad++, and more... ) 2) Mike K. is presenting on Smarty -- a 'template engine' (or as they like to call it, a 'template/prese ntation framework') Good stuff, good presenters!

Office Nomads (our host) and Expression Engine are hosting the October 1 Meetup That means, food and drink. That means getting a Sneak Peak at Expression Engine before it hits it's road-show the next day. Expression Engine (http://expressionen gine.com) is a CMS system that runs on CodeIgniter. Not only is it a CMS worth checking out, it is another example of using CodeIgniter. This night, we'll get to talk to the Expression Engine developers directly... with free food in hand! Point of record, there will be some other folks at this gathering which should make for even better networking, socializing, learning, etc.
