Bravo Media, a Barcelona-based marketing agency, is looking for an experienced web developer. The successful candidate will have a wide range of IT skills including strong coding abilities in (X)HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript and MySQL. ​You’ll have experience with content management systems, as well as a good knowledge of the technical side of domain, hosting, and database set-up. ​A problem-solving, "can do" attitude is essential. This position would be ideal for a freelancer looking to get a more stable position within a small but growing company.​

Competencies

- Fluent English speaker, with a good level of Spanish (if it's not your mother-tongue!)
- Experienced PHP developer, familiar with developing within the MVC pattern
- Ideally experienced with CodeIgnitor and Joomla frameworks
- Enjoys a small-team environment
- Obsessive attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-moving environment and to tight deadlines
- Good communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills

Key technical skills:

* Solid object-orientated PHP development experience
* Experience of working with 3rd party API's and web services
* Experience with CodeIgnitor (or similar MVC framework)
* MySQL and SQL admin
* CSS implementation of designs
* JavaScript a bonus
* Familiarity with Apache administration (especially mod_rewrite and host directives)
* Knowledge of other web-programming languages (Java, JSP) a plus
* Subversion
