Hello PHP enthusiasts!

This is Sara Streeter here, Assistant Organizer for the Meetup group. In my Organizer fashion I am organizing yet another event which is called NewBCamp that I bet will interest you.

On Saturday, February 23, 2008, the SofT ICE club at Johnson & Wales is hosting NewBCamp, a technology “unconference”. Rather than a conference, in which the communication is too often only one way, an “unconference” is based around the idea that an event brings people together that have something to talk about with each other.

NewBCamp will feature break-out sessions based around an informal, conversational format and focus on four tracks – Marketing, Podcasting/Blogging, New Social Media, and Web Development. This event is open to both students and the general public.

I encourage you to get involved by volunteering to give a presentation within one of the tracks. This is a great opportunity to get some more interest in the PHP Meetup group and network with the larger techie community.
