    I think that the generalist format of these meetups tends to mean that quite a few skilled developers tend to shy away from them. Basically, I'm surprised that there isn't something with a little more focus in Toronto. At the moment though I think it's hard to characterize these meetups as anything other than PHP Lite.

    Note above that it says: ***We're on the THIRD FLOOR of the pub*** Is that possibly a carry-over from the other location around the corner?? I was not aware that Just Desserts has a third floor.

    • “ Music was little loud. The photo meetup was not there. But I met interesting people and had a good discussion. Overall, it was very good. ”
    • “ I made some worthwhile contacts. I think we all agree that the music level was far too high while we were all taking turns talking. I asked for a coffee but the waiter forgot for a long time and I had to ask again. Especially if a person has multiple interests, it is pretty much impossible to spend time with everyone in one night. Personally, I think that with the different groups we formed, there was a fair degree of cross talk to speak over plus the music. I would have preferred to have our group location declared in the main level where we could sit comfortably all around tables. That worked well for me at my first meeting. ”
