The more that join the wider the knowledge base and experience. Even more would make it possible to form sub groups of the subjects each attendee actually wants. With at least 6 different interest groups, more people are needed to get a good volume in each group. As mentioned, its would fair well to have some strong promotion and marketing.

Its great to be able to talk to other people in the field. The Web and PHP are dynamic fields and this meetup gives an excellent view of where the community thinks its going.

Attended my first meetup last night and enjoyed the meeting. Definitley will try to attend more. Success for this group will be if we can get more PHP and Web Application developers or Web ECO System contributors (of all skills) attending on a regular basis.

  •  i think the group has potential, although i think the current format lacks focus. on one hand, bringing together many other groups allows for a greater number of attendees, but on the other hand it is not properly serving the needs of any one of the groups. this seems more like a general computer users group.

  •  I believe that the PHP group is large enough to sustain itself on its own and if the need arises where the group feels there would be benefit to join a group, such as mysql, or apache, for a session it could be decided on a month by month basis.
